Day 2: Siena, Chianti and San Gimignano.
Meet your driver at your hotel lobby and departure for a comfortable journey through the Chianti countryside which lead you to Siena, a powerful city-state that became an important cultural and art center during the Roman and Renaissance periods. We suggest a nice walk from Salimbeni square, where there is the oldest bank of Europe (Monte dei Paschi di Siena) and shortly after the majestic Duomo of Siena, one of the most impressive examples of Italian Gothic architecture. Moreover, do not miss Piazza del Campo, one of the most famous squares in the world for its peculiar shell-shape and artistic and architectural beauty. Piazza del Campo is also home of the centuries-old horse race competition, named “Palio”, that take place there twice a year. After strolling through Siena and a lunch break in a Chianti farmhouse, a comfortable journey across the beautiful countryside will take you to the town of the towers: San Gimignano. It is a Middle Ages town that rises on a hill and thanks to its still intact towers, San Gimignano is unique in the world, so peculiar and historically important that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990. At the end of the tour your personal driver will return you to your location.

Day 3: Montepulciano, Pienza and Montalcino.
Meet your driver at your hotel lobby and departure to Montepulciano, a former Roman Settlement situated on “Mons Politianus”. This borough owes its present appearance not just to the middle ages but also to the Renaissance, as we can see from numerous churches and palaces built by Antonio da Sangallo and by Michelozzo. During the visit of the town you will take part to a delightful tasting of the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The next stop will be Pienza that is famous not only for its Pecorino cheese, but it has been the first renaissance town in Europe, a model of perfect illuminate architecture for Florence, Paris, etc.… Art lovers, however, will associate this small south Tuscan town with Enea Silvio Piccolomini, later Pope Pius II, who asked Bernardo Rossellino to transform his birthplace into an ideal city of the Renaissance. Enjoy here a typical lunch with tasting of pecorino cheese and local products. At last you will admire Montalcino that is like an “island” in the heart of Tuscany, on a hilltop 564 meters height above sea level, immersed in the green environment that is still intact and wild. Today, undoubtedly, the image of Montalcino is enriched by the “Brunello”, one of the most vintage wine of Italy, a DOCG wine that exists thanks to the soil and favorable climatic conditions of this Tuscan “island”. At the end of the tour your personal driver will return you to your location.

Day 4: Volterra, Pisa and Lucca.
Meet your driver at your hotel lobby and departure to Volterra, one of the most ancient town in Tuscany. The Etruscan origins of Volterra are still visible while walking along the walls of the town. Just outside the walls, you can admire the Archaeological area with a well preserver Roman theater and other remains. You will also admire Piazza dei Priori with its oldest town hall in Tuscany, and the Duomo. During the visit you can see a handcraft Alabaster shop and discover the methods of working of the stone, symbol of the town since its Etruscans origins. The next stop will be Pisa with its monumental Piazza dei Miracoli. You will be astonished by the iconic Leaning Tower, a monument unique in the world and the other amazing buildings that compose the Miracle’s Square. Around noon departure to departure to Lucca. You will enjoy your free time walking along the characteristic streets and around the imposing walls that nowadays are a public promenade surrounded by trees. The main sites not to be missed are San Michele and Napoleon square, the Cathedral of San Martino, today Duomo of Lucca, the Amphitheatre’s square, “hidden” by a series of buildings located around the original elliptic circuit of the Roman Amphitheatre. At the end of the tour your personal driver will return you to your location.

Day 5: Florence.
Meet your driver at your hotel lobby and reach Michelangelo’s square for the best view of the town and then, enjoy a nice guided walking tour along the characteristic streets and dedicate a day to the “Lands of Renaissance” discovering the historical center of the marvelous Florence. The tour includes a special visit to the iconic David at the Accademia Gallery. You will be astonished by its exclusive collections which includes masterpieces of Michelangelo, Andrea del Sarto, Domenico Ghirlandaio, Paolo Uccello, Sandro Botticelli, and the original full-size model of “Rape of the Sabine” by Giambologna. The focus of the guided visit will be the David by Michelangelo. The statue was placed outside Piazza della Signoria until 1873, when it was moved to the Gallery for a better conservation. You will discover all the peculiarities of this imposing Renaissance icon and admire many other collections. After the David visit, you will continue the tour to the main sites of this marvellous city, starting from the religious complex (Giotto’s bell tower, Baptistery, Cathedral, and its iconic Cupola of Brunelleschi). Your local expert guide will then lead you to the historical paths to admire the worldwide famous Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria with its imposing Palazzo Vecchio and the Loggia, a real open-air museum. At last, at the Uffizi Gallery, you will admire several artworks and portraits of the Medici Family and the most famous masterpieces of the Renaissance time, such as the Primavera or la Nascita di Venere by Botticelli. Moreover, you will find specific sections dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci, Caravaggio, Michelangelo, and many other painters.
