Meet your driver at the meeting point and departure for a comfortable journey through the famous wine route “Chiantigiana”. You will have some free time for memorable pictures among hills of vineyards and olive groves. The driver will then lead you to Siena, a powerful city-state that became an important cultural and art center during the Roman and Renaissance periods. You will have some free time to discover the town on your own, from Salimbeni square, where there’s the oldest bank of Europe (Monte dei Paschi di Siena) and shortly after Piazza del Campo, one of the most famous squares in the world for its peculiar shell-shape and artistic and architectural beauty. Piazza del Campo is also home of the centuries-old horse race competition, named “Palio”, that take place there twice a year. After strolling through Siena, a comfortable journey across the beautiful countryside will take you to the town of the towers: San Gimignano. After a light lunch break in a local winery, you will have free time to discover this Middle Ages town that rises on a hill and thanks to its still intact towers. San Gimignano is unique in the world, so peculiar and historically important that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990. At the end of the tour your personal driver will return you to the tour’s starting point.
